I personaly own a 5.0L fox, but My friend own a stock 99 2v gt. He is finally getting around to buying exhaust for the car.

He is looking for the same type of raspy low tone as the 5.0's have. I know the 4.6has a slightly different tone to it. But what combo do you guys think he could run to get the sound he is looking for.

he is debating between the off-road h-pipe, off-road x- pipe, flow master mufflers, or some time of resinators like what magnaflow offers or SLP's loud mouth kit.

What combo of the above would give him the deep raspy sound, but louder than the stocker?

For exsample: X-pipe with resinators or H-pipe with flowmasters, or whatever works

Also what do you run on your combo? and how do you like it?

Thanks.

ROFL, if he wants a Low 5.0 tone than dont do SLP LM1's. Your going to get awhole new tone that is likeable to some, but its differ from 5.0 with flows or w/e.

Anyways, i say Weld in some Original Flowmaster 40 Series and get a O/r H pipe.

that way.. his car will be loud and have a nice deep tone. If he wants old school muscle sounding exhaust than get a MAc Catback and o/r H

your kind of contradicting yourself in what you want.

You say you want raspy, but then ya say that you want the 5.0 rumble.

If you want a nice deep tone, that has a raspy edge to it when you get on it. Then i would recomend the LM II setup. I have this on my car and I love it. Deep tone when cruising, but give it some gas and it really opens up into an aggressive tone.

If you want that deep 5.0 sound (cant really get that, but you can come close) go with an O/R H and Flowmaster american thunder, or a Mac catback.
