shocks

Adjustable shocks can help a tiny bit at the track, or for the road with corners and stuff. They run about the same, or slightly more than what I would suggest, bilstien.

I just ordered the d-spec tokico's which are adjustable 15 ways, but some would say that's a ricer mod on these boards. They were $503 shipped.

I like the tokico illumina's and the bilstiens the most as far as non-adjustable go.

Also, to my knowledge.. I do not BELIEVE shocks/struts will lower the car any, just make the ride much better. I lasted about 6-8 months on the stock shocks/struts and I can't stand it anymore.

good luck

Shocks do nothing for the ride height. They only controll the movement of the springs. By having adjustable shocks you gain the ability to controll the "Stiffness" of the shock.

The springs are holding the car up and are the only thing that will change the ride height.

I went with the tokico HP's (blues) mainly due to lack of funds. I really wanted the Bilstiens, but couldn't throw down the nearly $150 + per shock. The Tokico's work just fine for mostly daily driving, with slight track time. I have no complaints about the ride comfort, and the price was reasonable. If you have the money, I'd say Bilsteins, if not...then there a quite a few options. I would just say that you need to decide whether you "need" adjustable shocks, and go from there.

are these shocks good http://www.americanmuscle.com/bilstein-shock-strut-package-94-04.html I have seen these shocks being used on a couple of cars in magazines ,so they must not be that bad.....What do you guys think of them?

Those are probably the best to go with. I have the Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustables and love them. My car sits VERY low with no isolators and these work great. I can also change the settings up for daily driving/ drag/ road course. Kinda fun and really easy to do. They're not that expensive either

I wouldnt mind the adjustables ,can you use prokit springs with them tho?? I think they would be fun to tinker around with every once in a while:rolleyes:

out of illuminas and bilsteins..I learned the hard way..I made a post like 18months ago and everyone told me bilstein, so i ordered those..but then the reply's started coming with illuminas..regardless my friend has illuminas and his ride smoothness with h&r supersports(like me) is almost like a bmw ride..sooo smmoth, better then stock, with the bilsteins they are kinda rough/stiff..I think my car *might* handle better though..but his are smoother.
