So I got home from work, in a good mood to work on stuff so I put in some oil, did some little wiring I never felt like doing....Go to pull out on the main drag start to get on it a little in 1st..Vrrrrrrrrr...around 3,000 rpms....POP! Clack Clack Clack....pushed it to a parking lot with my friend pulled off the valve cover and found this  ......The base part was still on my rocker stud and the roller piece was chillin next to the exhaust valve spring. Top of the spring retainer was a lil beatin up but nothing deep.... I got these rockers from a guy I got a motor I got my heads from, they were brand new but they look like cheapies, he said they were Ford Racing but there's nothing printed on them so moral of the story buy Quality rockers......Sure glad I didn't go to the swap meet today, woulda been stranded alot more than 5 mins from my house....

You're right, they are not Ford Racing rockers, Ford Racing rockers are stamped Ford, the part #, and the ratio. He probably said they were Ford Racing because most people recognize the blue color of Ford Racing rockers and don't pay attention to the details.

I'm sure these are cheap, POS chinese made Proform's or some other similar no name knockoff. I really do despise the knock off, chinese made auto parts industry with a passion.

Hopefully you can find some Crane Gold Race or Comp Pro Magnum's to replace these little disasters and never have to worry about it again.

(insert sarcasm) Wow! That's great to see!(end sarcasm). Those are exactly like the ones I have on the 90, I bought them because I got a good deal on them. I think they are Proforms. Proforms are the only ones I can find that are built like that and are blue, that the company was too ashamed to stamp their name on. I've always thought that they were kinda iffy, but I'm hoping they'll hold up until we can afford some good ones.

I've had a lot of problems with a couple of them.

Live and Learn is one of the sayings I live by.....You get what you pay for. I need a new set of rockers and I live right by Downs Ford, I hear the FRPP, or FMS which I believe is the same place are nice rockers...I would go for Crane or other but I need my car running asap for my full time job so I don't want to wait for shipping.....since Ford is closed right now all I see on their site is these.....SVO Roller Rockers Stud Mount $299.95 and 1.70 Cobra Roller Rockers Set $269.00 .....Which ones should I go for?? what's the difference between SVO and Cobra?? I was using 1.6 but I might go for 1.7's with my E cam if I can just to get a little more lift. BTW I have stud mount rockers.....Which ones should I get??? Thanks!

They look like harland sharps to me but whatever they were they were trash. I have scorpian rockers on mine if you compare them to crane gold they even dwarf the cranes but are much cheaper. I would recomend them I have never hread of anyone having problems with them. they are walnut blasted pretty light and are from cnc alumumin blocks not heat extruded alumumin like the cheap rockers. And if you compare the crane 200 dollar rockers to the scorpian rockers the crane look cheap as hell.

Crane 1.7 bolt downs are FRPP Cobra rockers. My brother bought a set of crane rockers from Ford. They arrived in a Crane box with a corresponding Crane part number, but has a Ford ocal and part number stamped on them. Crane makes cams and rocker arms for Ford.

I bought a set of those cheapo proform rockers a year back...after inspecting them in person i had no choice but to send them back. All the push rod cups were offcenter and crooked and the quality looked horrible. I bit the bullet and bought the Comp Cams Pro Magnum rockers and they are outstanding pieces! Quality is exceptional and they are beefy! Good valvetrain components are expensive for a reason.

Hrm... Wonder if my TFS ones will self destruct... They seemed like a nice piece but they were also a budget option. Size of the rocker isn't so important especially when it comes to AL. I would rather get a better quality AL than a large one.
