I'm interested in getting a Mach 1000 for my 95-S351R. There's a couple of reason's:

--> I don't have to change the original Head or CD units ( Or So I've been Told :) )
--> Chicane makes a nice 6 Cell battery relocation kit that bolts right to the bottom side of the AMP in the trunk and looks rather spiffy as well. I need the engine room for the Water/Methanol upgrade I'm about to install.

Question is: Is this a descent system? I've not heard one before. Is it actually wroth the money?

If you are interested, there is one for sale right now on ebay.. Search "Mach 1000" and it will show up. You will need EVERYTHING, to include harness, and amps. I am not sure if your head unit will work with the Mach. I know that they came out in 2002 to be able to directly work with the 460 head unit. You could have added get a Mach 1000 head unit, but it will still work with the 460. I can send you some files on this stuff if you want.. I am going to put together a sticky for this as soon as I compile all the information that I have... It is a great option if you don't want to modify your 460 head unit and get better bass.

Hi SyberSaint,

It appears, after calling several of the distributors, that I will indeed have to upgrade to a 460 or 1000 head unit. On my car the AM/FM bit is one section, and the CD player is a separate unit, I'm not sure about the 460 or 1000 set up with regards to the harness and physical space requirements as I have not looked over those set up in any detail.

Here's the setup I have currently, don't know what version etc etc it is:

Current Set

This may be a bit more of an undertaking than I want to do. I certainly do not want to mess up the console, as it's in pristine condition.

quick question guys... i have a Mach1000 on my 2003 GT... i want to remove just the 2 subs and maybe the amp rack... (for a little while only due to space issues) what do i need to do to remove it? and will removing the subs and amps cause my stereo to not work?

What are you looking for that you think the Mach 1000 will give you? If it is just more thump or bass presence, you could get a nice enclosure, sub and amp for the price of a used Mach 1000 system.

I've managed to pick up a complete system at a really good price and I like a couple of after market products that coinside well with the Mach 1000 Amps in the trunk.

Thing is, my speakers all say Mach 460, but Im not sure if the Head unit is a 460 or not. Going to have to dig into this one a bit more.

i have also been looking at the mach 1000 but i have recently changed to an aftermarket HU and was wondering if it would still work? or what would i have to do. i have a 97 with the mach 460 and a new HU
