Great news!!!!!

Well, after waiting for 21 years, I finally found out this afternoon that when I graduate, I'm going to be a pilot!!!!! :D :D :D Thought i'd share the news, because i'm estatic over here. Soon enough, i'll be flying a jet that needs a few thousand horsepower, just for the starter motor. WOOT!!!!!!!

Thats awesome! Congratulations! My dad flies a Cessna 182 as a hobby. I always wanted to learn myself.

thats cool too, but the problem with it being a hobby is that you have to pay for it yourself, lol. I got the hookup. Uncle Sam will be paying me to cruise around faster than the speed of sound, shooting things and blowing $h!t up. I can think of many things worse to do.

Too late. Already did almost three years ago. I'm a cadet at the Air Force Academy, just finishing my third year. I already am committed, so at least I can pay back my 10 years doing something I wanted to do my entire life!

See ya around the Colorado skies, give a wave around northern Colorado off of I-25..
Way cool, and thanks for being part of the arm forces.

Good job! :flag: you are about to start a real life adventure. Enjoy it :nice:

Thanks everyone!! I'm super excited, and I couldn't be more proud to be serving for our nation.

Do you know what ACFT you're going to be on? Where is your flight training going to be? I used to be on C-130Es, but jumped over to a weather job from a bad back. Well, I didn't jump really, kind of neandered.

Short answer, no. Right now, I just know that my AFSC (air force specialty code) is 92T0, which means I go to pilot training. Upon graduation from here, in a year, I will either go to Columbus, Laughlin, Vance, Whiting, or Sheppard AFB, for UPT (undergraduate pilot training). I will fly the T-6 Texan II there, and depending on how well I do with that, I will probably, and hopefully, fly the T-38 after that. If I get through that, I'll have a selection of planes to choose, and right now, my priorities are F-15C, F-15E, A-10, and F-16. So we'll see how it goes....

Congrats. I did 20 years in the AF. I was in weapons loading for 10 years and then training mgt for the last 10. Just remember one thing when doing your duty, those on the ground shoot back. Good luck with your career. We need more like you.
