Bike suggestions

I have a 2001 honda f4i. It's a good bike, it's light and it rides pretty comfortable. People tell me it's a great bike for stunts and such, but I'm not so sure I'm ready for all of that yet!

I'd say any of the top companies make great 600's. You can find one for 3-4 grand in really good shape with pretty low miles if you look around.

Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha.. best way to find out is to sit on one from each, test drive them.. see how it feels for you. Depending on how much you weigh, and how tall you are.. bikes ride differently. It also depends on what your plans are for it. Do you wanna race it, ride it, stunt it?

Bike

I'd say try to find a nice used SV650, or a Ducati Monster, but then I don't know how tall your are so it's hard to say.......

I'm alittle bias myself with a Ducati Monster :D Used ones are great bikes for the $

0% drivetrain loss.

I agree about any of the top 4 companies 600s. Maybe a daytona 675 if you are daring. SV650s are supposed to be great bikes to learn on and for track racing.

Go to twowheelforum.com and do some reading. I got to the point where i am on there more than SN:S.

I'm guessing you're going to use the bike to learn stunting? If so, stay away from the sv650 and ducati the others mentioned...front cylinder will not get oil with the front wheel in the air and it's only a matter of time till you've toasted the engine. You need only consider bikes that have oil pickups that will keep the engine lubed with the front wheel in the air....

what's your price range?

Honestly for stunting I would just got with the f4i. But to ride around on and ahve fun on, get yourself a 636. The F4i doesn't look that cool and isn't nearly as fast as a 636.

I have a 02 Suzuki TL1000R myself

yea a 636 is awesome i love mine i have yet to lose to any 600 or 750 for that matter. i also took down an rc51which is a liter bike. but depending on ur riding experience it may even be too much. any 600 will be all u will ever need. if u want a good econo bike that still has some power maybe try looking at a ninja 650r. they arent as fast as a normal 600 because they are 2 cylinders vs. a 4 but they have the same amount of torque as my 636.

Well, all 600's are faster than you need to go. But make sure you can fit on them. If you are under 6'0 you should squeeze onto any bike. I had a new 00 gixxer 750 and my knees were constantly in the corner of the gas tank. Kawasaki's seem to have the "curve" in the gas tank pretty high compared to the others. Stay away from Zooks if you are tall.... trust me
