I was hoping to meet some of you guys today but I was in a time crunch to get home so I could not stick around. Although I was laughing at the old guy that brought the 05 to 07 Saleen and did not know anything about his car.:nonono:

The couple with the yellow Saleen bought that new in 05. You think he would have learned something about it by now. At least they didn’t wear the jackets. I’ll say no more about that… :rlaugh:

I was there pretty much all day and I talked to a lot of people. I didn’t hear anyone mention fast driving. And many of the owners definitely drove their cars faster in the parking lot. I kow he didn’t drive my car faster than me. :D

The Mach 1 put down 321 rwhp/326 rwtq without the N2O. With the 100 shot, 371 rwhp/466 rwtq. The torque is a lot more than I thought it would be. I’m concerned it might be too much for the stock bottom end.

You have bascially the same engine as the cobra just not blown right? So why would this power worry you about it holding it when they run 500+ threw the cobras. Very few if any of the people with bottles get the 50,75,100 or whatever shot H.P out of there N2O system and always put out more in T.Q. Nice numbers though! peace

It's not the same engine. The Mach doesn't have forged rods and pistons like the cobra. That's where I have a little concern.

Yeah. Makes you wonder why nitrous is rated in HP, doesn't it?

Nice numbers though!
Thanks, man.

You are correct. Too many people run their systems with improper nitrous pressure. In most cases that I have seen, this is why their HP numbers are lacking. Also, many of the nitrous companies changed the way they rate their jets. NX, for example, began rating their jets in rear wheel horsepower, as opposed to crankshaft horsepower. This seems to more easily meet the expectations of customers.

I was surprised that the orange terminator made 480hp with only a 2.8 pulley and 24 degrees of timing. At least that is what the guy that was driving the cars in and out of the shop claimed.

You must not race your car because I flog my car harder then that getting on the highway.:D

I was there for the small amount of time I could be there. I had a LOT of stuff to do that day and it took a bit of negotiating with my other half to get her to go with me. I was a bit surprised on my numbers. I expected them to be a less than what they were, but I can't really complain.

My best pull resulted in 177 RWHP and 210 RWTQ. Not too shabby for a stock V6. The other yellow V6 did pretty well too. I wish I could have stuck around longer to see more cars and BS with people. Maybe next time. :nice:

BTW, I didn't really see the guys at the shop "hot rod" the cars off and on the dyno while I was there. I know people get more touchy when someone else gets behind the wheel of their car but I didn't feel like my car was raced in and out of the shop.
