body mods stress me right out....so I waited a while (7 years..lol) before I had the stones to take the plunge
it's a Cervini 95 Cobra R
I like it....it's subtle but kinda makes the car look meaner on the top side
FWIW...Zaino fans...the 7 year old paint on the top of my fenders matched the newly painted hood perfectly......yeah...the car has squat for mileage (18,000 kms)....but I was impressed
for the underside of the lid.....it was about being totally over the top.....but trying to be real subtle about it
all logos/markings were sanded and smoothed....and finished in the same Ford black as the top side......the thinking was that the finsh would act like a mirror and reflect the nice shiny engine bay
I think it worked
the twist was adding some artwork....something appropriate....subtle, but again...right over the top......so I got my airbrush guys to ghost in a black pony into the black hood.....it's the exact profile of the Mustang logo....but more anatomically correct (this one has a right rear lower leg)......and the goal was to make it look as real as possible....with all the muscles flexing
here's the image
with the hood up on the car....the pony disappears depending on the light, and the angle you're looking from.....which was the exact result I was hoping for
it sure does make for some awesome looking shots with the motor reflecting and the pony peeking through it all
I'm very pleased with it
