Ford looks to be putting saleen superchargers on harley F150's according to autoblog.
I'd like to see how this goes over.

Truck is $38,000, then another $6500 for the SC and intercooler.
So without any other options you are around $45,000.
At that point i'd say just hold out for the Saleen, since it certainly looks better.
Too bad the harley will be available in a real 4 door version, which is where saleen screwed up.

We heard about this last Saturday at the Cars & Coffee show in Irvine. The VP Global Sales for Saleen drove up in a new Heritage car and while we were chatting he mentioned that the Saleen Troy facility was gearing up to do about 1,000 of these conversions for Ford. Sounds like they are trying to use the production capabilites of SSV for some OEM jobs. Also heard a rumour about some Dodge Viper work.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Don't let any Saleen-floor-sweeping-employees touch the Viper. That's all we need are Vipers with shoddy paint and body panels falling off from poor temperatue glue failing or dirty double back tape.

.....until new year when Saleen will annouce the S331 SuperCrew!!! Fact or Crap you ask? I guess you will have to wait and see :D (from a reliable Saleen source or you can ask Jared as he "works" in the building it happens in)

4 real doors would definetely make it more appealing, now they just need to slap some awd or 4wd on it, and when the price of them plummet like the xp8's did, i'll get one.

...any vehicle is going to depericate but I don't think the S331 while plummet quite like our XP8's did. This time around, Saleen is a totally different company and they have actually marketed the truck. Remember, there was zero buzz about the explorer and no option for more power (four had the powerdyne blower that never, ever, ever became 50 state smog legal). This time around, the blower being used is very reliable not to mention, smog legal.....

Maybe you are right, i already run into more people that know what a saleen f150 is, than what an xp8 is.
And the xp8 has been around 8 more years.

Yea right.

Saleen never made an "XP8". Then again, they never made any of them S351's either.:D

.....isn't that really sad when a low volume limited production type company like Saleen doesn't take at least one afternoon to teach their new employee's the basic history of its own company?? :nonono:

...It doesn't say much when a Saleen rep at the L.A. Auto Show wants to aruge with me that Saleen never made an S351 (just like you stated Marcus) or that NO prototypes ever get bumper numbers (refering to the white S331 truck making its LA debut) as they will never sell them to the public!! Now that's stranges, since I drove home that day in a prototype Saleen wearing a bumper number:shrug: Maybe they think it would be a waste of time to give a little background on the company as the majority of Saleen employee's get laid off within 12 months of being hired anyways.....

...sorry for going off the topic but its all the bad influence of Marcus that cause me to rant off the subject:p
