LOOK AT THIS RIM ???

The rim will fit just fine around the stock brakes and there will be no clearance issues. Only if you decide to go with larger aftermarket rotors will there be a potential for clearance problems. As for the clearance issues with the upper IRS bolt that's a little more tricky. The rim by itself will fit just fine. It's the size and manufacturer of tire you mount on the rim that will cause certain modifications to be necessary based on tire width.

What make/model/size tire do you plan on running? Let me know and I'll tell you what modifications may be necessary.

i was thinking of the nitto r 315/35/17s .>do they hook? if not tell me .

but then i seen the hossiers 335/35/17s

what would be the best hooking tire?

im going with a whipple with 17 psi boost maybe more

the 97 cobra rear end is going in it prob b4 the wheels go on. it had 3.73 in it

im getting some mega bite lowers and some uppers too.

thanks um

The Nitto's make a good street use DR that even works decent in the rain as long as there's tread left, but the hoosiers will be much better at the track and on the street for "hook". You can mount the Nitto 315 on that 17X10.5 and all you will really need to do to be 100% safe from ANY rubbing would be to do as KT stated above. Buy a set of round head (low profile) upper IRS bolts or even grind down the head of your stockers. Now those 335 Hoosiers will require you to run at least a 3/8in spacer AND a rounded head upper IRS bolt to prevent rubbing.

If you don't plan on upgrading the rims & tires until after the SRA install then don't worry about it, either tire will fit fine.

thanks um for that very good advice , i might just wait to but the put the rims on after i do the axle swap.

but im going to get the rims now

these rim are just ex. same the as the 03 stockers right ? and will my svt caps fit on them?

all rigth a just ordered them with nitto rs for 650 bucks

and what they mean by this ?

They are a bright chrome that is much better then the original color found on the powerful 2003 Cobra's wheels.

Will 18" Shelby Razor 5's fit ok with 2001 cobra? Someone said these are for the 2005+ ??

Yes for the most part. Your stock center caps will fit.

well the caps where a little loose so i wrap some black tape around them to keep them from flying off, but the cap dia, is the same it just the clip on the back that makes it a little loose ..

as for the rear end now
going with that 97 cobra straight axle heres what iam getting done ?

ford trac lock i think that all i need , 31 splines still with c clips
3.90 gears. i think that might get rid of my drone at 70/75 mph . cause with 3.55s at 90 its quite. but not at 70/75mph ...i got some 3.73s but i dont think that will be enough.?

i hope to still get 23 mpg on the hight way . i got i k/b 2.6L coming in next week. i didnt go the whipple route ,,the guy was a fraud thanks to uncle meat!:flag:

should my car be a monster? getting it with a 3.25 pulley for pump gas and a
3.00 for 100 unleaded race gas. i hope i can put it all down to the ground.?
