Speed Cal Issue (HELP)

got a lil problem. I have a 96 GT Auto, and i just got my 4.10's installed. Only problem of course is my speedo is WAY OFF..I have the speed cal and i had my god brother install it but he said he couldn't because the connector from the tranny is totally different then the connector from the speed cal and he said he really didnt wanna cut my harness. Anyone know what the deal is? I heard numerous people say they installed the speed cal in their 96-98's but i dont understand why i cant? This speedo is really pissin me off, n on top of that i just got a speeding ticket because i had no idea how fast i was really going. I need to fix this asap. someone PLEASE HELP

you are about 15mph off, well mine was. I bought a speedo gear from mustangsunlimited.com and it brought it down to 10mph off. About the speed cal i got used to it and didnt buy one.

how is it different?? When I went to install mine, granted it was a 5 speed, I had to look and relook and get another set of eyes to help me figure it out. Go double check and look again, it might be right there in front of you for what you need to do and re-read the instructions, they might not be the clearest but they do work.
