going to get my violators cut off and have pipes and tips added in their place. anyone have regrets of running straight pipes or slp lms? ive ran searches and listened to clips, going on my 4th set up, violators, stingers, imco extremes(too much drone great sound). is there much drone, the stingers and imcos killed me, the violators dont drone much, but are not loud enough

I had an 05 GT come into my work from the dealer on a trade in. The previous owner put straight pipes in place of the mufflers. It really sounded stupid. It was wayyyyyyy too loud! We put some 40 series Flows in its place, and it was still pretty damn loud, but sounded a whole lot better.

Do you have any clips?

Here is a video of my car with shorties, off-road h, and no mufflers. This was when I was waiting on my Pypes to come in.

The other car in the vid has JBA LT's, o/r h, and stock mufflers.

The rattling you hear on my car when I rev is the over axle pipes hitting the axle (no supports to hold them up).

In Hindsight, the car sounded like ass whenever I would take my foot off the gas and let it coast in gear. Sounded great under acceleration though. It was just too much just cruising though.

I have SLP's with no regrets, but I will have to reinstall my stock mufflers because vehicle registration changed the rules and to pass inspection your car can be no louder than 90 db @ 3000 RPM. After inspection the SLP's go back on.

its loud

I had mine off for about 2 months before I finally got stopped. With 4.10 gears you cant have any whiny passengers on the interstate for a long trip because they WILL complain. Personally I loved it. Oh and sounding like "ass" on deceleration is bull****.

Take em off
