Oh I totally know what you are talking about. EVERY TIME I TALK TO CHUNG all I get is his free advice along with wisdom and years of experience working on his own cars and customers, as well as selling parts. You would think after all this time of being totally involved in almost every aspect of the Mustang hobby that by now he would give me some bad advice..:D

Come on everyone knows Chung gives nothing for free. :p

sounds like what he gives for free is advice to buy axles since the stock axles cant hold any kind of power. funny. i know of quite a few very fast 28 spline 8.8s with the OEM axles/halfshafts.

sounds "like" maybe you are assuming BUT I ran DR on my stock 03 axles and chung never said once that I needed new axles, HOWEVER with his customer base its quite possible that he has experienced broken stock axles on 99-04 gt that had higher hp #.s. Everyone treats their cars differently, depends on the driver.:nice:

Yeah Gator, you just bend wheel studs:rolleyes:

Here is where the whole conversation went wrong. Spencer, you cant say ANYTHING as a definate- so when you said she WILL break axles, you were wrong. She very well CAN break axles on a stock setup, we have HAD IT HAPPEN on street tires, but to say it WILL is incorrect and if you give Allen any chance of belittling or poking at someone he WILL take advantage it. (This being the one place you CAN use a definate).

Dont buy axles yet. Just know the car is only as strong as the weakest link, and when you have enough power and traction that they become the weakest link, upgrade. :nice:

I was not belittling anyone. I just like poking fun at Chung or Jeff which on this site becomes a huge issue and gets everyone all bent out of shape. I could be like you and hide behind a different alias but I say it how I see it. By the way you shouldn't use the AFP IP address you might get Jeff1 banned too. :rlaugh:

For everyone else that reads this we really are all friends.

:stupid:

Not saying it happens to all, but theres a decent possibility that if the tires hook too well, the axles could let go.

My first post may have sounded like it was a certainty, but I backpeddled a bit to try clear things up.

Chung never tried selling me axles, he told me NOT to put DRs on because I could break them. Chung has also been great help with my truck, for how much time he spent tuning it (even on his days off), he never charged me more unless it was costing him at the dyno.
