What car did you get rid of and regret?

Only car I parted with was my '01 V6, and it was taken from me.

It was probably the most boring Mustang I owned, but it was the car that got me through college. So needless to say, I had lots of fun memories in that car.
It was an ex-rental with 31k miles when I got it, and I continued to beat the crap out of it up to 80k; yet it only ever needed routine maintenance. It also racked up a decent amount of ricer kills, including some rich kid in a new(then) IS300. Every ricer underestimated it.

Last August it got hit by a driver that lost control in the rain, and failed to stop from an intersecting road. Came into the road, knocked us into a 900* spin. The Mustang stopped perfectly lined up, but backwards, in the left turn lane...stopping before entering the 3 lanes of oncoming rush hour traffic. My passenger and I walked away with 0 scratches. One driver in a Taurus that saw the whole thing and stopped to help looked as surprised as I was.

This is a weird thread.....I just sold my 2 Door Tahoe about ten minutes ago......

So I dont know if I will regret it or not....I will let you know in the morning....

I sold it for $8500...which is what I paid three and half years ago but after I put a Denali front clip and 22 inch rims and about 30k miles later...it orignally had 60k

yep....I am gonna miss it.

I miss my first car the most. 74 beetle convert with the crappy 1400 engine yaned and replaced with a turbo 6 from a porsche 911. talk about a sleeper.

Sold it when I moved to Phoenix. The cost was just to much, since the insure shot up due to the downtown location. I was also getting married at the time, so it was a good trade.

did you sell it to Frankie?

Nope. It had 79k when I bought it. I put 106,000 (185k) more miles on it when it some guy decided to pull out in front of me. They didn't make aftermarket 85-86 GT bumpers at the time (2000 or 2001) so I gots rid of it :( :( :(

That and the fact that it was spraying antifreeze outta the radiator and over heating and the motor was rebuilt at 124k.

Had a lot of fun cars, either the 67 or the 69 GTO,s really liked the 69, my 55 Chevy a guy a mile away takes to cruises and shows, don't miss the 67 Caddy ragtop, not my thing, I guess. My first 5.0, miss that, but just because its in pieces in the garage. My 86GT that ran the 11's, but my 88 LX should come close. Aussiesmg had a 75 XB Falcon GT? Thats really cool, I wanna see pics of that beast. I am currently looking for a 72/73 Mercury Montego GT, if anyone has one laying around!:nice:

Those things were made by Mitsubishi Australia and sold as the "Starion", the common translation in Oz is it was meant to be Stallion but the translation was somewhat second rate, :rlaugh: the fact that they had a "Colt" at the same time ends strength to the argument.

If you want one get one downunder, they had the 2.0 and 2.6 Astron engine, torquey but not great, it was the sports version of the Sigma sedan and wagon. I owned a wagon for a while, just a car...

HuH?

Well it's nothing super special, and I didn't sell it, but I got into a head on collision with my 89 Jetta GTX a few years back. Was a quick little car, and got 29MPG mostly city. I couldn't ask for a better beater car, at 270,XXX KM's it still had full compression.

92 SHO 5-spd Talk about a stealth cruiser!!

Surprised alot of people at the stoplight Grand Prix. Never should have sold it but I really wanted a convertible. I love the vert but if I had it to do over again, I would have found somewhere to store the SHO and kept it. I only had 2 permit parking spaces where I was living at the time. 3 cars would have a real hassle.

Now I have a house and 5 car driveway!!

OMG I was just about to post about my 1980 Firebird Esprit! It was a very nice dark metallic red, 301BB engine, chrome around the fenders (original not those stainless pepboys things)... I miss that car. If I still had it, there would be a 454 in there...
