my baby's gotta go

I'd look at toyota to fit your needs. Okay.. they don't make a v8 sedan but with 268 HP coming out of a fuel efficient v6, with leg room to fit me(6'2). It comes in either the avalon, or the camry. The sport edition camry comes with the sporty look of wheels, ground effects, different interior design. Go give them a test drive, I swear it will sell you. Affordable too. 24k can get you a decently equipped v6 Camry.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I will be keeping my car through the summer :nice:

I have driven both the Camry and the Avalon, my personal preference is the Avalon....I also like the Mazda 6 series.

We'll see, what happens with this decision in a few months.

i worked for dodge in the service department....they have trans issues...brake issues and the hemi has intake manifold issues....ie cracking plastic. they also are electrical nightmares if something goes wrong with ones of the 6 different modules. and gas mileage for someone that likes v8 power will be around 15 to 18. sorry for bashin them but i hated to see them pull in the drive at the dealer cause you knew that something would be wrong. keep the stang and buy a used volvo that has a 100,000 mile warranty for alot less than that pos dodge.

I didn't read this whole thread, but...

If it were me and I had to sell my 'stang for a nice 4-door with decent power, i'd go with an Acura TL. VERY nice car (it's an Acura) and you can get a 286hp 3.5L V6. Badass looking cars, nice motors, VERY reliable, great gas mileage. :nice:

I'd recommend something practical like a minivan / SUV for the transport of small children. A powerful car and baby seats doesn't sound like a good combination...
Imagine hauling down the road with 400 hp, when suddenly all hell breaks loose in the back seat and you instinctively turn around. It only takes a few seconds at high speed to come up on something that wasn't there before.

If you still want to enjoy some carefree cruising at high speed, leave the children home and take the Stang. (Or send 'em back... kids and fun don't mix. :) )

A sedan is just as if not more practical than an SUV or minivan. Jsut as much room, less likely to roll over, better mileage, and its not a gay ass minivan.

the black R/Ts are definitely sweet looking. i hate the top banana colored ones BLEH. base chargers dont do it for me either.

but, if you are going the dodge route, hold out for a few more months, get the Challenger :nice:

If he could sqeeze into a challenger he could probably keep his mustang.

If you go with a charger, get the SRT-8 provided you have the loot for it. 425hp vs 340 of the R/T :nice:

!! :nice: I'd rather have a TL than a charger any day, no matter the engine differences. Beautiful car.

i say get an srt-10 truck, around here they go for about 27,000. V10 power with 4 doors and king of the road feel. i had a chance to play with one in my npi gt, he got me by a few cars but had some mods...
