I have a huge question for all the P-51 guys. Have you had any problems with the car dieing at idle? My P-51 has about 2000 miles on it and my IAC has about 3000 miles on it. IAC was my first suspicion, but it is so new. I cleaned my MAF, IAC and checked all my VAC lines, yet the problem still exists.

Does the location of the IAC on the P-51 kill it prematurly? I hope to god not, because that is some costly maintanance if it does. Basically I am looking for any help that can be offered. I am at witts end right now and dont know what else to do.

its going to be hard to get any responces to this as a lot of people dont have the p 51. i wanted to get that in the future though. i wouldnt think that the location of the iac would have it going bad prematurely, especially after 3.000,iles. that would be really bad design!

i think calling fox lake would be a good idea to ask them about the location of the iac.

I know it was a shot in the dark, but I thought I would try. I plastered this question on every Mustang Forum I know of. I hope I find enough P-51 users to help.

FYI, the IAC is mounted upside down on the bottom of the intake. My suspicion is that the IAC doesn't flow enough air to fill the extra volume of the P-51. Only thing I could think of.
