i have been using the T fitting that i got with my mongoose kit. i have it tied in at the back pass side of the vehicle right where MPH told me to put it. now that i finally have my new bov it isnt opening with the engine veccum at idle. i can press it open easily but it will not open on its own. it is causing the car to shut off at idle. i tried a few vac lines closer to the engine and they seemed a little stronger but still didnt open it. i am currently running the 11# spring
Spring Rate: 11 PSI(-22 in/Hg)
Use: Engine Vacuum Reading: -18 to -21 in/Hg

is this too much pressure?
what do i need to do?

are you refering to the big hose coming off theback of my C&L that says fuel/gas on it? i'm getting a really good vaccum off that but is it ok to put a t fitting on it? i dont see how it runs gas thru it but i just wanna be safe.

i just had an idea. could i add an additional vaccum port on the upper plenum? just a drill and tap kinda thing? that would give me plenty of vaccum and not take it away from anywhere else

The PCV is a little valve located in the passenger side valve cover - its a one way valve that allows gas/pressure from inside the head to go back to the intake, and when under boost closes up so the heads aren't pressurized. It's primary function is as an emissions device, however. It's not really needed, just run a separator to a breather...

With big boost you need to run a vacuum pump on the heads to keep from blowing crap up, deleting the PCV all together.

i pulled the PCV hose from my power pipe and i didnt get any vaccum at idle. maybe i have something wrong there.

what do you think about that large hose at the back of the upper plenum? the gas/fuel one? could i put a T in there?

PCV doesnt go to the power pipe... PCV goes from the valve on the passenger side valve cover to the upper intake plenum (front drivers side to be exact). The other hose should work though...really any manifold vacuum line should be sufficient, seems like its still just the spring...

u sure? on my uncles 03 i could have sworn the PCV was on the drivers side valve cover and went over to the power pipe. there was also the one from the IAC (vaccume) that went to the power pipe

ok i'm stupid, i was looking at the drivers side head. i got it working now. the car just wont idle. oh well hopefully i can make the 20 mile drive to have it tuned tomorrow
