i just put my bbk shorty headers on with an o/r x pipe. i took it for a drive around the block and it drove very well. however when i got under the car after to see if there were any leaks i noticed that the driver side o2 sensor was smoking, the smoke seemed to be coming from out of no where on it.... i shut the car off, then the smoke proceeded out the mid pipe. the smoke was white and was not very thick. any ideas on what could have caused that?

secondly, my dipstick was hard to get back in after the header install, i cant even really check my oil now becuase it wouldnt go in ALL the way. how can i get it to fit nicely.

not sure if this helps at all, but after my chrome bbk LT headers and x-pipe were on, they made a bad smell for almost 2 weeks. i'm guessing some of the coatings on them were just getting burnt off. i didnt notice any smoke though. just thinking it could be a possibility with your car though....

i bent the hell out of that little dipstick lol, it went 85% of the way in, but wont go any further.

is there a difference between left and right o2 sensors?

Both LH & RH O2 sensors are the same. A failing O2 sensor or vacuum leak will set code 41 or 91.

ok thanks ill have to get to autozone this week and run codes.

however before i went out tonight, i took the car for about a 2 mile drive, the check engine light did NOT come on, and the first time it did i only took it about a 1/4 mile
