I'm getting to the point where I need to get rid of Sadie's body (she had terminal cancer :( ). So over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be stripping anything that I can think of that might be salvagable/useful off of her. So if there's anything someone desparately needs, like a hard to find, non-repro part, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Oh, and in case you don't know Sadie, she's a 67 coupe.

does she have three pedals? Also interested in seats or the seat backs. (The panels)

Nope, just the gas & break pedals. I do have extra seats, though. I have the set that was originally in Sadie which really could use new foam (no back panels), a set that I bought to recover (I'm undecided if I'm still going to recover & use them or try to find some high back seats that will fit), and I have the set that's currently in use in Murphy. And I have the back seat from Sadie which is in fairly decent shape (mainly just really dirty & musty).

Interesting that I have a pair of 69 highback seats that I contemplating on switching back to original style since it's not my daily driver anymore.
FYI-69 seats will bolt right in assuming you find a pair with the tracks intact.
How are the tracks on your front seats? I am mainly curious now...my main interest was the pedals until I can think of something else my stang needs.
My memory is failing, and i haven't been in the classics of late. I remembered Sadie having a 4 speed. I need to hang out in this section more often.

Sorry about not checking on those seats yet, it's been raining non stop and my yard is a muddy mess. I'll try to get out there sometime this week.

Umm do you happen to have a back up lamp switch in there &/or a neutral safety switch?
I'm sure it does (I drove it for about 2 years) but I can't guarantee what shape the wires are in (they're 40 years old after all). But I'll try to check that out sometime this week too.

that's okay. No hurries on my account.

Well, I just sold Sadie, but I'm keeping the tranny and will be pulling that out this weekend and when I do that, I'll pull off that neutral safety switch. The disc brake set I have and the seats aren't going with her (they're in the shed) so I will try to get out to get some pics of them depending on how hot it is outside and how long it takes to mess with the tranny.

The guy buying her has a 68 that doesn't have a title so I think he might just be after her VIN, but I really need to get her out of here so at least she'll be sacraficing herself to help out another mustang.

I do still have some new parts/sheetmetal that I bought for Sadie that I don't need any more and I'll eventually be selling, but it's going to be a while before I have the time to go through it all.

Bubbye Sadie

The guy came to pick her up Saturday while I was at work. It was really weird coming home and not having her in the driveway, but it's for the best. I did get the tranny out (complete with neutral safety switch) and I also had to swap her driveshaft over to Murphy - Murphy's U-joints were bad (VERY VERY bad*) and it was easier to just swap out the whole shaft than replace just the U-joints so that's another part of Sadie that's now on Murphy (plus Sadie's ignition coil**).

Sorry again for taking so long on those parts requests, I've just been incredibly busy. But we were planning on going on vacation for 2 weeks in October. I had already requested and gotten the 2 weeks off, but my dad just found out his vacation is getting cancelled so I'm now going to use those 2 weeks to do some major work on Murphy. So while I'm at it, I'll have time to dig through the shed and see what all I have.

Footnotes:
* About a week ago, Murphy started klunking loudly when put into gear and vibrating horribly at highway speeds (felt like I was driving on the rumble strip on the shoulder, but I wasn't). So I swapped out the driveshaft w/u-joints from Sadie, like I said. Looked at Murphy's u-joints and all the bushing were completely gone, there wasn't a bit of grease under the caps (just powdered rust), and all the bearing under one of them had completely desintegrated. Yeah, I think that was the problem.

** I'm really proud of myself for this one so I have to share. About 3 weeks ago, Murphy started missing & backfiring really bad. Got to the point where I couldn't even drive him to work. So I told dad and while I was at work, he took a look and did some tweeking on the carb. I got home, took it for a test drive and it idled better, but 2 blocks down the road, it started missing & backfiring again. Got back home and dad said, "I don't know, you'll just have to take it somewhere and have it looked at." I didn't want to pay a fortune for someone to look at it so I got thinking and remembered that the last time he was missing & backfiring, it was because one of the nuts on the coil had worked itself loose. I checked the wires and they were all fine so I thought, maybe it's the coil itself going bad. Swapped out the coil with Sadie's, and he runs like a dream now. So I was able to figure it out all by myself even after dad gave up  :D Dad later told me that this is the very first time he's ever seen a coil going bad; usually, they just quit working.
