So, now that it's 90 something degrees everyday, I'm thinking about getting a kit from Classic Auto Air to get my A/C going.

My '68 coupe had factory A/C, but that's long gone. I do still have all the ducts and controls and chrome vents in the dash though, and I have read that Classic Auto Air makes a kit that you can use all the old stock dash parts with.

Does anyone have any ideas, opinions, helpful info, advice, etc. on Classic Auto Air or my A/C project in general?

I have used them to get all the pieces for my 67 with factory air.
Call them and talk to them... I was 'convinced' I wanted the new kit with everything, but they talked me out of it since my car was a factory air car. They have all the parts, etc to fix yours so no problems. I even upgraded to the R134 evaporator and condensor to help out in that area.

Just have an idea of what parts you have and what kind of condition they are in before you call. This will help them in deciding which route is best for you. If you do decide to use their aftermarket, they will buy your original parts off of you (and sell them to folks like me)

Good luck!
