I have already put 15" Weld Draglites on the back of my 87' GT and I want to go with the skinny look up front. I have a 95 GT (5 Bolt) brake set-up and the problem I'm having is both the 15x5 and 15x6 Weld Draglite's wont fit. The caliper is hitting the wheel. I dont want to run spacer's...it's looking like I'd need atleast a 1/2" spacer. Anybody else have this problem with that size of draglite and what did you do?

15 inch wheels should fit over stock V6 and V8 94-95 calipers and rotors. If they are Cobra brakes they require a minimum of a 17" wheel. The back spacing of the wheels could be wrong too. Are the drags for a 95 GT? If so, I don't see the problem. You can run a spacer on the front, but I would recommend buying extended lugs for extra thread safety. I would worry about spacers on the rear if you race the car or love cornering, but many people use them in all for cornes without issues.

It dosnt have Cobra brakes....it's an 87 GT with a 95GT brake setup is all. I dont want to run a spacer or longer studs...especially since I also run a second set of cobra wheels with a closed lug nut. Im basically at a loss! lol Dont know what to do. I was told that the 3.5 wide's will fit but I dont really want to go that skinny. Any more suggestions?

I have some 3.5"s up front and they wont fit on my other car w/ a 94-95 brake swap. I have read you can grind the cross bar that it is hitting down, then run a smaller spacer than just running a spacer by it's self.

The only way to get them to fit is either using a spacer or if your lucky, just grinding the bar off.
