Weather forcast looks good. No rain like last year.

Its going to be hot.

What time is everyone getting there? I read gates open at 7 and racing starts at 9. How long does tech take? Could I plan to get there at like 830 and be fine?

Looking forward to this, I've been wanting to go for the last 4-5 years!

If your participating I would be there between 7:00-7:30, you will need to check-in, get your car thru tech, then there's the all important drivers meeting. If you miss the drivers meeting you won't be driving....

Thanks for the heads up! I wondered about a drivers meeting, their brochure didn't say anything about it! I'll be there at 7!

Don't feel bad, I fell into that trap a few years back and got my butt chewed by the organizers. IMO they don't seem to be very organized, most track day promoters send out an agenda a few weeks before hand. I called the contact over the weekend to confirm my payment and the schedule, and have yet to get a call back. Heck I think I better take a copy of my cancelled check just to prove that I paid in advance.

I talked to Dave (the contact on the app) after a few unanswered emails. I told him I sent my check in a few weeks ago and told him it wasnt cashed yet and I got no reply about whether or not I was in. He said they don't cash it until the day of the event and that "oh you are in", so it sounds like they haven't filled up the spots yet or he's just lazy and lying... 1 of the 2 :)

I was speaking to one of the main organizers of Round-Up last night and I guess the turnout for track day has been quite underwhelming this year. He said that there are still at least 30 spots available and that you can still sign up at the $130 rate.

Tell every one you know. I know people who hadn't signed up yet and planned on going. The Shelby Convention at Miller Motorsports Park I'm sure didn't help the attendance this year. Some of the guys with the high dollar early cars may have opted to go to Utah instead.
I'm sure there will be people showing up the day of the event. See you there.:nice:
I just found out that the price will be $135. They aren't going to up the price if you show up at the track to pay.

Wish I could:(

I have been waiting for this and now I can't do it:bang:

My Rad went tits up on the 4th when I went for open track lapping day.

My new one is suppost to be here today so maybe just maybe I will make it.

I love going into turn 1 at 110 mph.

Does anybody know for sure, I was reading some of the info for the track and it say's you have to wear long pants, is this really true! That will suck with the hot weather!:notnice:
I quess if thats the rule I will abide by them. Bummer!!!!

See Ya Bill

You would think being a corner worker on turn 2 would be boring. NOT
Please watch the Photo Show. One racer ran into the side of a hill with his 03 Cobra, another 96 Cobra lost his gearbox by us, another guy spun his 70 Mach 1 by us, another guys tire went flat by us. I said please not by us.

Cool pictures.. do any of you know who was up in the start/finish booth? I saw them taking pictures of me with a big camera once, and was thinking " how can I get that picture?" haha.

Anyway, heres a short clip of 2 of me and the people around me on youtube...

I had a great time with the Bullitt, besides using up some Azenis RT-615 rubber and Hawk brake material I made it back home to Vancouver with everthing in one piece. :nice:

I feel bad for those that had problems :(

Thanks Russ for posting the photo show, see ya Sunday

The guy in this cherry 70 black Mach 1 he had just bought arrived late. He had never been to the track so they let him out without a practice lap and the dog leg at the end of fthe strightaway suprised him. At over a hundred MPH he ran off the track. I caught him with the camera after several spins. He really lucked out.
