car dies??

my car will randomly die when i have the clutch in and the brake on i have no idea were to start with this one does anyone have an idea what this problem might be??

This happens to me, like once or twice a year. I just pop the clutch, and that re-starts he engine.

There was a thread here (any have it?), in which someone posted the solution they found.

So it dies after you depress the clutch and it comes down to idle? IAC - common problem on these cars...

+1 for the IAC valve, it's pretty embarassing to have it stall in traffic, isn't it?

I have a different problem every couple of days my car decides to idle at about 1800rpm, I just installed a new IAC so I know that's not the problem.
