This is getting ridiculous, Ive had some damn electrical problem with my car lately. Sometimes it will start and other times it wont. One time i can start it and it has spark and runs, and another time i can try to start it and it doesnt have any spark at all, its like something is shorting out, a wire or something. As of now the car wont start ever, the problem has gotten worse and there is no spark at all, the car has a new distributor, coil, module, rotor and button, not to mention it has a brand new computer also. I've pulled the intake to make sure nothing is getting pinched or any wires could be shorting out close to the intake, I'm out of ideas and its making me quite angry now. Do you guys have ne suggestions at all??? Before it seems like the car starting was a hit or miss deal, but now its dead. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks.

Also:

Simply check all your fuses.

If you have an aftermarket ignition box, take it out of the circuit.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when the key is turned on? A lack of EEC relay function will keep you sparkless.

Good luck.

Thanks hissin50 ive checked all the fuses and the fuel pump does prime when i turn it on so I eliminated that a long time ago, I dont have a aftermarket ignition either, well hopefully ill figure it out, I took the whole top part of the wiring out today, the part that goes to the injectors and coil and stuff like that and tore it apart checking for any wires that could be shorting out, but no luck there.

check the ignition switch .That little sucker can cause alot of the problems you are describing. It was defective on the fox body mustangs it would melt the contacts or get losse and the car would alot of funky stuff. Its pretty easy to spot if its bad.Good Luck

take some 8ga wire and use it as a "jumper" to check your grounds.

put it from the neg. batt. term. to the radiator support. Try to start it.

Put it from the batt. term. to the block at say the valve cover, intake bolt, or even wedge it between the headers (just dont leave it there long if it does run). Try to start

lastly, go from the motor to the chassis like the strut tower bolts from were its attached at the motor. Try to start.

If it does start the that is prob. the ground that needs attention so find it and replace, it is somewhat common for the block to chassis ground to fail with age on our cars for a heads up

On the TFI:

I'd check that pin 1 is grounded.

Look for a pulsed ground signal from Pin 2 (put a test light on a 12 volts source and connect the other test light leg to this terminal and have someone crank the car. The light should flash real quick or look like it's glowing).

Look for key-on constant power at Pin 3 and a cranking signal at Pin 4.
