I just put my Hurst shifter in my 06, like everyone says, it feels a bit notchy.....

I dunno guys, while it looks really cool, I can't say I'm thrilled with how it shifts.
its definatley different than stock, but in 2 weeks you wont notice it as much. the more you shift it, the more used to it and it becomes "normal" to you. drive it for a while, and then make your decision. if you dont like it, then thats fine. its all about personal preference since you will be driving it everyday.

I'm definitely trying to keep an open mind.....I'll give it some more time and report back.
For mine it also took a few thousand miles before it didn't feel so notchy.
If you ran your car hard with the stock shifter and then do the same with this new one, that is where you will love the new one.

Just take your car to Redline in first and then shift to second, ****** it hard and you will see the difference. RPM's only drop about 1500, try that with the stock shifter.
How much taller is the hurst shifter over stock ? I want one myself for the retro look if nothing else. The stock shifter is so short, back in the day, a hurst shifter was like a foot tall with a t-handle, or the comp-plus was 8" tall with a ball. My stock shifter barley sticks up past the console, feels odd. Hopeing the hurst will be a bit taller.
