Hi, yesterday I carelessly knocked off my drivers door mirror against my gate post - as it is 'fixed', sheared-off the plastic arm inside the mirror leaving just the 'backing plate' (is that what it's called?) attached to the car door.
My first question is how to remove the remaining backing plate in order to fit a replacement mirror assembly - no fixings visible from outside so guess I need to remove the triangular plastic cover inside (the one with the mirror adjustmet switch sticking through it) - this appears to be snap-on but don't want to damage it - can anyone help with some advice please? I can e mail a 'photo if that helps? My e mail is [email protected]
Secondly was wondering, does anyone know of an aftermarket direct fit FOLDING door miror for the 2005 as that would be much better for me? I spotted on the Mustangs Unlimited site (www.mustang-unl.com) a pair of 'Cal View' replacemement mirrors which look as though they fold from the picturre (I am checking with Mustangs Unlimited). Are ther any other alternatives anyone knows of please?
Thanks very much
Simon
