Heres my story:

I bought a new truck that had satelite radio and had a preview of XM service. It ended. XM called me and said: "we have a special for one year of service you only pay $77." i said cool heres my credit card. He told me how to activate my radio and then that was the end of the call. I moved into a new house about 8 months later. About 2 months ago XM started to call me saying there is a balance on my account. I said: "i bought a years worth and thats about all i know. What is the balance for?" They said it is for radio service past the year. I said i wasnt informed i would be charged and figured they would contact me when the service is up. I then said send me a bill so i can look at it. They call me at least 3 times after that saying the same craap and i had to change my address each time because the person before didnt do it.
I finally get the bill and call them asking about one of the charges. They research it and say they dont know what it is. Some arguing later and they agree to take it off ($41). There was a remaining balance of $72 which i thought i shouldnt have to pay because i wasnt in contract nor did i know i was being charged. They had a different opinion obviously. So i pay it with my visa and dispute the charge. I thought it was over said and done until today(1 month later).
I get a call from a collection agency saying they need to collect $41 for XM radio. I called XM today and they said "you have to pay it." i asked if they had my social on file and they said no. I then said i am not paying **** and told the cust serv chick to get another job asap.

I hope XM stock certifercates get used to wipe the asses of all the dirty bastards here in south texas.
To all that use their services: you are going to get ripped off!

One last thing: they need to get some American customer service people! Indians cant speak freaking english!

i dropped XM today also.

i got tired of hearing commercials on radio that i was PAYING FOR!!!

why do they feel the need to advertise whenyou are paying for service??

next you will have commercials in the middle of movies!!!

I had Sirius for about a year then dropped it..

I found the quality of the sound was very poor. Like if I switched between a local FM station and Sirius it would be noticeably better. I had one of those Audiovox external units and then I moved to a dedicated tuner built for my Clarion head unit.. Same quality..

It's hard to explain satellite radio's "sound". It's as if the sound is "muddy" somehow. Like it's missing that clarity you get with a good CD or even FM sometimes..

So I canceled and they kept calling me every week for 3 months... On my cell phone.. I would tell the person to take me off the list.. "Ok sir, we will not be contacting you again..". A week later and another call.. "Ok sir, we will not be contacting you again..". It was always a different 888 number. Over and over.. Eventually I yelled at the guy and no more calls..

What REALLY irked me was the fact the calls were just recordings. The ONLY way you could talk to a person was to press 1 to order new service.. Or hang up and have them call you back next week.. You press ANY other key and the recording would just start all over..

Dammit.. I'm pissed off again.. :bang: :bang:

you have them at the begining.

I was getting pissed with XM because they kept making my favorite stations internet only. I didn't buy XM to listen on my computer. So I called and complained got 6 months for free.

i don't use either...i get enough out of the radio and ipod to not need it but driving across country on a Sunday during Football season if a benefit of having the NFL package...only reason i would consider it.

It certainly comes in handy where I live. I do a LOT of travel up North and most of those backward assed hick towns with less than 1000-population rarely have a decent radio station....if they've got one at all. With my Sirius, it doesn't matter where in the Province I am, as long as I'm not indoors, or parked under a lot of tree's, I get to enjoy my Howard Stern, Raw Dog Comedy, Maxim Radio and all the music stations at my leisure. It sure beats AM radio. :nice:
