I am SICK of people asking me how much my supercharger costed

Man every person I talk to wants to know how much i spent on my supercharger set up and im tired of it! Its driving me nuts and i think next time someone asks me im going to tell them to **** off because its none of their business and im tired of answering that question!!

For those that have superchargers do you guys get that question all the time as well? What do you tell them???

but I get annoyed as well especially with the "custom paint" question!!!

I feel your pain... maybe don't open your hood, or if they hear it, say you have a bad pulley...

no its when im driving around town, someone will hear it and want to know how much i payed for it, most of the time they dont even ask me what kind it is or about anything technical they just want to know how much money it costed me

and yea it offends me because its like asking me how much money i make from a stranger

Dude, I had ppl ask me how much money I've spent on my car, total. I just told them more than what my car costs, brand new.

Just tell them you own(insert supercharger manufactor name here) and it didn't cost you a thing.

or tell them you don't have a supercharger, just an idler pulley bearing going bad.

or Get there hopes up and tell them $200. If they're asking then they don't have a clue anyhow.

Hmm, well I never get tired of people asking about my setup...Everyone always asks me how much it costs to put on twin turbos....but I enjoy talking to people about it and tell everyone the same thing basically.
I take it as a complement, since noone used to really pay any attention to my car when I popped the hood in the past.
Remember you dont see centri S/Cs very often....even I dont see centri blowers very often, and all of those have been at car shows/local meets.
So far I dont recal EVER hearing one that I just randomly pulled up next to at a stop light. I would MAYBE ask what type blower though....wouldnt even think of asking how much it costs. I just wanna know how much powa you have .

I never really get any questions when im just tooling around town....heck even if im behind hopped up cars, most dont even see the IC (I have no idea why not....I freegin LOOK for that on anything thats modded) and most have no idea that im not stock. 90% dont even get my plates (CAMD GT).

So yea if I had a blower that whistled at idle maybe I would get so many questions that it drove me insane....but it sure would take alot. I love peoples intrest in my car....even if most dont know a darn thing about the hobby.

WTF dude , people ask cause like me who want to save money and get supercharger or turbo some day. Why are you mad ? Superchargers are different and price is too so people will ask how much it cost and who makes them plus where to get best deal.

Just to let you know your supercharger is nothing as hotmustang331 got turbo and I have asked all kind of questions about them and he answer all of them .

I used to ask about cams to ever one until I got one and now I get pm all the time about cams and cost. You are lucky that you could afford supercharger but for some like me it's still just a dream and like to ask questions like how much ? where did you get it ? How's the power ? How much for tune ? How much boost ? who installed it ? E.T.C

heres the jist of it:

"How much did supercharger costed?"

"like 4 grand"

"no way! theyre usually like 10,000 dollars on ebay!"

"im badass like that"

/end of story. not that difficult. i get it all the time, people ask how much it cost for me to do the exterior work, i just tell them around 2k for the body pieces and another 3 for paint, 2 for the wheels/tires. end of that part of the conversation.
