Yea Joe.

I saw that also. That sure is a sad sight. I have torn a torque box away from the bottom of a foxbody before. It was not even from hitting anything. Just repeated abuse.

I'd say that's some project. There's a lot of work there but may the right car for the right guy.

to have a chasis shop fab up new tb's, cost me $1100, so before you even get into any of that cars other inadequacies, you are already a grand deep.

I'm skeptical on the whole issue of how it was damaged too! I also don't buy the HP rating with the turbo. When you look at the engine bay and the electronics I don't buy that it ever had a turbo. It has the wrong MSD box. It is rough. The torque boxes don't scare me so much as the other little issues and the fact that I don't feel that this car was well taken care of at all. The cowl is also crushed in. At most it is a $2500 car. If it did not need the torque box replaced it would be worth what the BIN. Due to the vibe I get from the auction I would not trust the motor description either.

Yep, I came across that auction, too, earlier this week.

I just shake my head in equal parts despair & disgust whenever I see a Saleen so obviously abused, neglected & unloved. :nonono:

Apparently there are some unappreciative people who continue to view a Saleen as merely a "Mustang with a bodykit" & not as something truly unique. :(

.....you mean Sayleen does more then just a bodykit and wheels??? Man.....some people will believe anything they read on the net.... :D

If you really think about it Saleens are not much more than that really! Add in some handling improvements and stickers and a power flash computer big deal! And a serial number. They are over rated! I can say that after being a owner now for 7 years!
