About to finish 5-lug swap. Having a hard time installing the 93 cobra booster. Feel free to offer tips, pics, whatever. I dying to finish and take it for a spin.

Edit: Guess I should mention. I did take a hammer to the strut tower. Not enough clearance. Might have to buy a 5lb sledge. Also, I cut off approx. a 1/4 inch off each stud on the new booster. Still not enough clearance.

Thanks.

Also, I do not have internet access at work. So I can't reply until 4:00.

I didn't have to modify anything when I did my booster swap. When I put the hydroboost in my other notchback, I had to oblong every hole for the studs and the hole for the rod to the pedal, but nothing for the booster...that sucks...

DON'T HIT YOUR STRUT TOWER!

If you have not already done so, remove all the vacuum lines, clutch cable, and anything else in the general area. 5 min extra work will safe you a lot of trouble.

Take a die grinder and elongate the bottom left hole.(the hole toward the center of the car) Be careful to only elongate it only as long as needed. It should only need to be about 1/2". It will not side right in, but it will go 90% of the way. Pushing on it by hand you cannot force it the other 10%. Take a soft dead blow hammer and begin tapping. It will slide right into place.

Well. About to get started. I didn't have time this morning to go into great detail. I have already used the hammer on the strut tower. Along with cutting 1/4 inch off the end of the studs, it's soooo close to going in. This heat wave sucks. 102 F right now.:notnice:

Since I've already started the "strut tower clearance method," I'll use the sledge and see how it goes.
