I'm going to get the Granada Disc Brake setup from www.discbrakeswap.com.

- I heard that with manual disc, you still have to press the brakes really hard to get the car to stop. :mad:

- If I get the Granada Power Disc, will this it a lot easier to stop?
*How hard is it to install power brakes into a '65 coupe?*

With a properly sized Master Cylinder (MC) manual brakes aren't terribly difficult to use. They do require more pressure than power brakes.

That said, disc brakes actually take more power to stop than drum brakes do to the physics of their design. However, disc brakes are much nicer to use and in my opinion make the car more driveable since the brakes are more predictable. Drum brakes have a tendancy to grab at different times and can cause the car to jerk to one direction. Disc brakes grab together unless there's a problem with them.

I'm not sure but you can check with UltraStang and his website, www.UltraStang.com, and see if the Fox Brake boosters will bolt in. If so then it's pretty simple and I think he had a write-up of an install.
 
I have no problem stopping my car, it really depends how much weight you got up front and distribution. I daily drove my car through traffic and had no problems at all stopping. It's up to your level of comfort though.
 
Yep, the only thing that the kit gives you that a junkyard wont is the spiffy mount plate and the pedal adaptor. And of course the steel braided lines. Neither of those are that hard to fab. Even with my modest experience in fabrication I'm sure I could do it. And any custom line shop can build you what you need or you can have one end re-flared of a stock line for a versalle.... how ever the hell its spelled.
 
I bought the kit from diskbrakeswap - and was really pleased. I too went with the manual disc brakes. Everything went together real easy - but car hasn't run yet, so I can't talk to you about how they feel - but I did a lot of research before deciding to go manual disc.
