I never tried in my 94'. My 90 I had to 137mph according to the spedo. ON A CLOSED COURSE TRACK WITH A 9 point roll cage and a helmet and a sfi approved 8 POINT SEAT BELT AND HARNESS!!!!!!

The needle was past 150... I was on a 3 mile stretch of road, 2 lanes, no traffic, broad daylight, 80 degrees... Top down

I went until I ran out of RPMs...

...Then I went home and changed my underwear.

Hit ~145 on the speedo.

Stayed between 125 and 145 for a good 2-3 minutes.

Burned about 1/4 tank of gas. lol

That was with my 2.73's though. I doubt Ill hit that with 3.73s.

haha its funny to see the words "160mph" and "safe" in the same sentence. I wouldn't encourage anyone to try that on public roads. I've gone 120 in mine, and it still has more in it, but the 3.73's were howling so I let-off before anything blew-up. I want to get 3.27's put in and a viper-spec T56 (0.5:1 6th gear :D ) when I get the turbo'ed 418 next year (shooting for 600-700hp). But even with that, I wouldn't trust our car's stability above 150mph. at the very least get a 6-point rollcage.

You should try troubleshooting your transmission that pops out of gear in the upper rpms in 3rd gear only. The one time it held at 75% throttle it ran 125ish in the top of third at 6,200 or so rpm. Man this new stroker has some power. :D

On a closed course of course.

as far as i am concerned noone has done that speed unless it was gps verified--speedos are way to inaccurate.

Absolutely Not true idk with gears and changed speedo gear , but my stock 3.08 GPS verified has a top of 1-2 mph difference on all speeds from 0-120 mph verified , idk anything beyond that i dont have high speed rated tires to do more, but this cars have the most acurate speedo i have ever seen on a car.
