popping/missing at cruising speeds and part throttle.

under part throttle like when accelerating around town there is a popping sound in the exhaust and you can sometimes feel it in the engine, its coming from the engine, like a miss sort of. its been doing it for a while, even before i had my SC on. its not loud but i can hear it easily. you cant really hear it if you give it some gas, just when its cruising and when accelerating slowly in town

i duno if its rich or not enough spark?

plugs are new
it doesnt affect driveability at all. once i give it more gas it goes just fine. theres no stumbling or anything. may just be the exhaust or something.

Clean your mass air. Sometimes that helps. CRC makes a good mass air cleaner.

I kinda have the same issue. Mine doesn't pop but you can feel it miss when cruising. If you get on the throttle its fine. Its an 88 with a MAF conversion.

Foxfan if you would post up what you find I would appreciate it. If I get to mine first and find the prob I will let you know.

yeah mines not really a pop either, its more of a faint "duh.. duh...duh. you can barely hear it. its random and there isnt any pattern to it really.

tried the MAF cleaner and noticed no change really.

i may try a good coil. i have an OEM replacement, i want a higher output coil anyways.

I had the same problem with mine yesterday. I replaced the cap/rotor and wires and it runs awesome. I also used some seafoam through the intake.
