Just installed a 2 row Griffin Aluminum radiator. My car's been running hot since H/C/I install. I first replaced the stock one row with a 3 row replacement off e-bay. Worked fine until 90 degress or so and then the temp would creep to 215, even 230 once!!

So far, so good, had the car idle for 20 minutes with A/C blasting and it got to 185 degrees, I'll be beating on it this afternoon and will report back after that.

As for install, this was their universal "Ford" style 31"X19," $165 at Barnett Performance in atlanta. It literally dropped in with minor bending to the top brackets-no big deal. The "drop in replacement" was $350, not all worth it.

I have the same griffin that you have in my 93 and it works like a champ. Same as you I had to "modify" the upper mounting brackets. There are a couple of guys on ebay that sell an anodized top bracket that looks pretty good but I am cheap and modded the stockers.

nice

Great price!

Man, I thought I got a good deal, I bought an aluminum 2 core from Superior Radiator in Michigan for $245 shipped.

I had to cut the rubber mounts on the top and bottom, but otherwise it was pretty much a direct drop in.

HUGE improvement over stock though. :nice:

So, the aluminum radiator dropped the highest temp from 230 degrees to 210 degrees in traffic but it went right back down to 190 when moving, big improvement in 100 degree heat. Seems like I might need more fan but I've got the Black Magic "S" blade fan rated at 3300 cfm.

I think I'll live with it since its Atlnat in August and we're hitting record temps, 100 almost every day.

consider this a success!!
