how if the fit in the trunk of a Vert?

It's made to fit in both models easily.

Thanks everybody else for all the feedback.

I know our stuff is expensive but theres a few reasons for that. Its high quality and 95% of our products are made in the U.S.A. We also back everything with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.

Your other products are competitively priced. This is not. It's over twice as much as the competition. And while I agree, your stuff is top quality, similar powered enclosures at half the price are not sub-par and do not justify the large cost difference.

There stuff is really top notch though...

I have the sequentials(have worked flawlessly since install last fall-relatively easy install). Just purchased and installed the hood strut kit(very well made and a snap for install-30 minutes). I plan on purchasing the black billet grill and classic chin spoiler as well from them. As far as the sub box, I can't see that high of a price even with the 3/36 warranty(which is awesome)?

Satisfied repeat CDC customer:nice:

I have to say the product looks sharp, bang up job done there. I have taken my stock Shaker 500 system and augmented it with JBL GTO speakers for the doors and rear deck and that has made what I'd call a pretty decent sounding system.

I too like the thump but not so much I would spend 1k on an upgrade like this. I have owned competition quality stereo's (one audio comp trophy behind me right now in fact) but those days are long gone.

Even if I was really into having more bass I couldn't even consider paying $1k for the item. I think CDC's real problem here is the people that want this will typically (a) be young enough to want the extra bass and likely not care about looks as much and just get a custom thing thrown in the back. (b)Be savvy and know the cost is too high comparatively speaking to other products like the MTX. (c) be the kind of people who just throw extra speakers into their car for convienence sake, but guess what, most if not all those people will be putting in Shaker 1000 before they consider buying yours. So you're left with the people who feel the price is OK (not many it would seem) or those who couldn't get anything else or really like the package.

I think if I was dropping 1k on my stereo to improve it, I would be putting in a nice Pioneer touchscreen GPS DVD player toaster oven dish washer type deal.

So my long E-mailed turned into a me too post in the end. I have to say I really like CDC, as you can see from my mod list below almost all of my appearance mods are CDC and I am considering a Shaker hood next spring.

Just curious, but how does the Shaker 500 and upgraded CDC box stack up to the sound of a stock Sharker 1000 system.

Will be in the market for a used S197 in the spring and want one with the Shaker 1000 option. I figured they'd be tough to find, but if the Shaker 500 and CDC set up is comparable, it might make my search a lot easier?

It won't be hard for aftermarket to sound better than factory. Just shop around for aftermarket setups if you don't find a Shaker1000 GT for a decent price.

I really hope you aren't insinuating that the RF components are US made. It does look good, but the price is quite exorbitant. Are you manufacturing the enclosure, or is it coming from Rockford's AIResearch (Q-Logic) division? Also, which driver is it using (assuming P1 unless otherwise specified), and how much airspace (appears to be about .8 sealed)?
