You guys think its smart to try and start it? I mean its been 16 years. Wouldnt you think the motor needs to be torn down?
I would think theres rust everywhere in that motor now and if you got it started all that crap is going to score the bearings and bores.
The rings may also get chipped or break. Does it even turn over by hand cranking it with a socket wrench?
Prime the oiling system as well if you must go this route.
