I did that on my 2005 except I left the stick-on letters as they were and moved them a bit closer together than they were back in the 60s and 70s. I also put Ford on the front of the car.
I have thought about doing it to my 2007 but haven't yet.
What does everyone else think?

I saw a grabber orange pony with the chrome lettering and liked the way it looked. And since ford left out the usual bumper "mustang gt" impression, i decided to buy it. Then we i got them i decided to paint them black to see how they would look, i think it came out great and im 100% satisfied

Nice touch, I done this and it is odd how everyone has followed suit.

Yeah, you're the only one who has ever thought of that, huh?

??? I didn't say I invented the mod, or that I am the only one to ever do it ???
I'm just sharing my pics of how it looks on my car.

Hey light,

I believe that BlackRod was making that comment at ShowYa's comment. No need to be on edge, it looks great.

Black - :Zip2: :D

I put the m and g on first just using the calibrated eye lol, then i used a tape measure to get the distance between the letters and divided by 6, then placed a small dot with a marker on where to center it and just use my eyeball to make level up and down wise with the other letters. worked out pretty good as I am symettricly picky lol:nice:
