I'm looking for some suggestions on how to improve the handling and driveability on my blown 00 GT. Swapping out my solid axle for an IRS has crossed my mind, but if I wanted to keep my solid axle set up, how could I modify my rear to handle well and have decent ride quality like an IRS? I don't want to spend too much money, so I was wondering what some of my options are. I tired of feeling every bump in the road and the back end shimming.

I appreciate the help.

The only thing I have right now are rear lower control arms and steeda lowering springs.

roughly how much would a panhard bar or a torque arm cost? and where would be a good place to buy?

would this setup be as smooth as an IRS? close to it?

my goal is to have smoother ride quality and better handling

You can't have both with a solid axle car. Adding coilovers would be your best bet if you simply do not want to swap to an IRS. IRS will be a much better ride, and also handle alot better "out of the box" so to speak.
