Oil pressure?

Whats good oil pressure on stock bottom with trick flow top end? mine is around 50 lbs at idle and seems to drop some at WOT. Could this be caused from thin oil? I'm running Purple Power full synthetic with Fram filter. I would like to change to Mobil 1 synthetic since purple power is so expensive and harder to find than Mobil. What u guys think?

Same here pressure should only raise slightly with more rpm, that is odd to have it drop. Are you using stock gauge? I use nothing but the mobil 1 extended performance (15,000 mile stuff) and have nothing but good things to say ... in fact it majorly saved my bearings on my old stang even after it was drivin a few miles after the oil pump shaft turned into a twizzler.

Little leak shouldn't really effect your pressure much and at least your not relying on the good ole craptastic factory gauges :) afraid I think I'm just about as stumped as you atm. I'd go investigate how the previous owner hooked up his gauge and stuff and if the gauge all looks good keep a close eye on oil level/pressure for a while and see what happens if you don't feel like digging in quite yet.

oil pressure should NOT be dropping under throttle...I'd be curious to find the cause of that for sure.

It could if you had a high volume pump and didn't have a 7 quart pan on the car. You can pump a sump dry at WOT thus loosing all oil pressure. Atually even with my 7 quart pan I do notice a drop in my oil pressure while at the track and on the bottle.
