How rich is too rich for a blown car? The kit is a vortech at 6psi. I lost the dyno sheets from when APEX motorsports did my tune, but i just installed a new wideband A/F gauge. It reeds at WOT low 10's. and by redline, it hits 10, which is the lowest the gauge can go. It seems that it keeps getting richer and richer as the rev's climb. Does this seem really low, i thought that it was. I need your input. The tune has only been on there since the beginning of summer. It was the tune that George did over at APEX. THanks.

you shoot for 11.6-11.8 WOT flat lined as best as possible ? are you running a chip ? and why are you only seeing 6lbs , the biggest pulley they make I thought was a 3.60 which read 8.5 lbs on my car before the intercooler , I am now seeing 10lbs with paxton air-air intercooler and 3.25 pulley

i thought that it was supposed to be in the 11's. I got a custome tune from the xcal at a mustang speciality shop. I got the basic kit, which comes with the 6 psi pulley.

This guy is correct.
Too rich is bad, but not as bad as too lean.
I was running at 13.5 at anything over 5200 rpm until I got retuned with a bigger MAF.
Now I'm in the 11.5-12.7 range.

12.7 in VERY lean for a supercharged engine, especially at higher loads. I would keep it under 12 for sure.

Usually a safe tune is around 11.5 . Shoot for 11.5-11.8 and you will be set. Remember, you'd rather be too rich than too lean. Lean is mean, but it also causes blown engines.

Indeed it does.
I will be heading back down to Crazy Horse Racing to get it dialed in to keep it under 12.
I still can't keep my foot out of it though. I will keep my fingers crossed... I haven't heard any detonation so I think I'll be safe until then.

If your tuner left your car at 12.7 AFR @ WOT, he is an idiot. I would find a new tuner ASAP, or buy your own tuning software so you can do it right.

under boost 11.5 to 11.9 is acceptable at WOT ..........dont run over 15 degrees of timing without an intercooler ........make sure the IAT is located after the blower and make sure the tune is set to pull some timing at above 130 degrees
