Just swapped over the factory Fanblades to some wider tires and wheels. I am now running Rev Wheel Cobra 340C Sandblasted Gunmetal 18x8.5 and 18x10 with NITTO NT555 255/45 & 295/45. I still have the stock suspension. I love the way it looks now. Really muscular:nice:

Looking up from the rear. There is plenty of room for clearance.(Yes I know she's dirty)

Thanks all for the compliments and comments:)

How does the three-prong knockoff attach to the wheel?
They are spring loaded and pop into the hub just as the OEM caps do. I don't care for how loose they seem. Will try a few things to tighten them up.

Very Nice! Those rims really go well with the S197's retro looks!

...were influenced by the Cobra III's.
Tis why I got them. I love the old Halibrand style wheels:D

Very nice. What do you plan to do with the fanblades?
They are to become my incliment weather(snow)wheels.

Very Nice! now take it to the track! hope that weight doesn't slow you down any.
They won't slow me down at all. Next season, I will have a pair of 17s with MT ET Streets for track duty. I will not be messing around with street radials again.

Looks great Dawg. Those 18x10s look a LOT meatier than the stockers. Did you end up weighing them? Any difference than stock?
The 18x10s weighed in at 62 lbs, the 18x8.5s weighed in at 48 lbs while the fanblades weighed in at 54 lbs. Those are for the tire/wheel combo. Those wheels were fairly light for their size. the 10s are 28 lbs and the 8.5s are 26 lbs:D

Looks good, man. Nice choice. On those front quarter shots, turn the wheel so the wheel faces the camera. Makes the shot alot more pleasing.

Thanks for the tip Dark:nice:

Actually, I've been wondering for quite some time when you were going to get fatter tires and rims to go with your other mods! Watch out for that gravel underneath. Mudflaps maybe? :D Waiting for the time sheets. :nice:

Show how does it drive? I've been thinking about replacing my stock with 18x8 front, 18x9.5 rear Thruxtons, any comments on driveability? Do you feel noticably slower like some suggest with the new wheels or is the ride harsher? Is cornering improved?

Look GREAT by the way, I love to knock-offs.

Never will have mudflaps. I will also not be using these at the track. For me, they are merely a looks upgrade.

I don't really know yet. I've only driven 80 miles on them so far and that was pretty much all highway miles. With stock suspension, they do feel rougher riding when going over bumps. On smooth roads they ride quite nice and I can't hear them. I didn't reflash for the increased tire size yet so I'm not sure yet as to the RPM difference. I will do that Wednesday afternoon. Technicaly I should be slower as this has changed my gearing slightly, but I don't care as I don't street race. I will have dedicated track tires/wheels next year for that:nice:
