In your sister. If none, your mom
Here I go again. Last year I bought a 2006 Mazda3 Sport GT brand new. Loved the car but needed more power. It was rated at 160hp and 150ft/pds tq. Manual 5speed.

So....9 days ago I picked up my brand new 2007 Pearl White Mazdaspeed3. The car is AWESOME. I love it.

2.3L Turbocharged and intercooled, 6speed manual.
263hp, 280ft/pds tq stock.

I'm pretty confident I could run it in the 13's right now bone stock, like a lot of folks have done. As you know me, I'll make it faster:nice:

I'm expecting my Injen cai tomorow or Tuesday latest. This should make a little more power and make the stock bpv sound the way it should. Right now its all muted from the big ass air filter and airbox.

Next week I should also get my Forge bpv. Should keep the turbo spooling between gears so reduce turbo lag (not much stock anyway) and have some sound to it also. I'll see if I like the sound or not. People love it or hate it. I'd like to have a bov but because of our cars and the position of the maf, we'd run rich everytime we hear that nice pshhhhhhh and can create fouled spark plugs and worst so until I get a EFM (not soon...after warranty) I'm not gonna get a bov.

The Speed is a BLAST to drive. Only have 700kms on it so mileage should suck, and my first tank of gas in town I did 450kms thats with 85% city, 15% highway. With my 2006 Mazda3 GT and 16000kms with cai and catback , keeping same ratio, I was doing 530kms a tank, thats with 103hp less and 130ft/pds tq less. So far very happy and it just gonna get better...

Also want a mechanical boost gauge and oil pressure gauge. And short shifter....And turbo-back exhaust....OMG STOP IT.:nono:

Nice....but I liked the blue better than the white.

Oh god not me. You dont see it in the pics but that white is amazing. Not just a regular plain white.

Actually wanted my 06 Pearl white but there were 2 remaining in Canada with the options that I wanted and they were in Vancouver so I said screw it, I'll just go with my second choice which was winning blue. But I like the white over the blue by far...So classy I find.

right on... looks like a good machine... but when are u gonna get another stang? :stick:

:D

Good question....

I got to admit that my overall love for the mustangs is gone. I'd still love to own a 03-04 Cobra but thats about it. The sound of the 5.0 is still music to my ears but by far doesnt have the same effect as it used to. Hard to explain...

Like I said before, I'm really enjoying my new Speed3. It has pretty much everything you can ask for in a car. Still fairly economic, 4 doors (but flow well with the lines of the car), power/tq, fun factor, less attention from the cops, etc.

House is coming in a few months, then we'll see after we're settle if it's time to start a new project.

I did start to buy a few parts for the Speed..cant help it lol. Bought the Injen cai (really wakes up the sound of the bpv), kept my StreetUnit motor mount from my 06 Mazda3. I also bought a 3" downpipe with 1 high flow cat, and 3" catback system. I will wait for the spring to install these. Tomorrow I'm expecting my Forge bpv. Should keep the boost levels steady and increase spooling (even if there's no lag the turbo is so small). Then next step should be another intercooler. All this crap should put me VERY close to 300whp and 320wtq. All this still on stock boost level and ULTRA rich a/f.:p

Had a little trip to the dyno yesterday. Just wanted some base numbers to compare with next year when the parts will go on.

Stock is 263hp and 280pds/tq

I'm bone stock with a cai. The bpv doesnt add hp, it just makes the boost more stable and come faster.

245whp@5500rpm
264wtq@4200rpm

This was on a mustang dyno so the numbers should be accurate, or bit restrictive.

Its STUNNING how the car falls on its face @5500rpm. Damn turbo is too small....grrr.
