Info on replacing airbags

I just picked up a salvaged 2001 GT convertible last week. The car was in a front-end wreck and the airbags were deployed and removed. This is my first Mustang from the post-airbag era, so I'm not sure what's the best way to go about replacing them. EBay has a couple sets going for around $600 (wrong colors, but I'm not worrying about painting). What I want to know is, how difficult is it to install them? Is there any special equipment required that would mandate having this done at the dealership? I haven't gotten any price quotes from dealerships because I'm sure it will be outrageous, and since I am back in school full-time, I have to be as thrifty as possible.
Thanks in advance.

easy install.

there are 2 bolts on the sides of the steering wheel. gotta pop off plastic covers to access them.

the bolts for the pass side air bag are in the very rear of the dash close to the top.these are a little harder to get to. try removing the air duct to the pass side vent

Thanks, that's good to hear. Is there a procedure for testing the module and/or the entire system? I haven't picked up a Chilton's yet, but I'm guessing it probably doesn't give instructions for airbag r&r.
