22HP from customer tune, axleback, and midpipe

It doesn't sound like it was all catback, he was dyno tunned as well to get the 22 hp. He had gotten 12-14 on stock tune. The dyno tune took advantage of his other mods as well.

leftover, when I ran my car back in the spring, I had the stock mufflers on with the O/R H, 4.10s, CAI and 93 octane tune and ran the 13.345. There is no doubt the stock mufflers perform well, just too quiet. I doubt the Flows would have gained me any time on the track.

I hear ya on them being to quiet, but i like projecting an image of having a stockish car that runs quick.

this is why i dont post on here. people think things are to good to imagine. to tell you the truth the best mustang dyno guy in the country, and a great mustang mechanic, not to mention my self all saw it with our own eyes.

ok the stock mid pipe and pypes axle back made 300. the exhaust with the 3" mid pype made 17 on the brenspeed tune. pro-dyno made another 8hp, for a grand total of 322.

i have given the numbers and web sites for the guys that made this happen. i challenge you to call either one of them and ask them for yourself.

it is funny macon moore has built daily driven cars that lay down sick numbers and drive like stock. 740hp in a cobra with a 5.0, a 600 horse eaton cobra, not to mention my car. and you know what everybody did not beleive it until they saw the tail lights. pro-dyno has done all of the tuning on his ford cars. and they all idle like stock.

i have the sheets, i will try to post them up.

I'll call and ask. Just for the record, am I going to be greeted with harsh language if I say, "I'm interested in one of your exhaust setups; some internet dude says he got 22 rear-wheel horsepower from it. Is this true?"

This thread might have not been misleading, had it been titled "22HP from customer tune, axleback, and midpipe", which is what it truly is. Decent gains, yes. But you didn't get 22HP from an axleback.

Edit: custom tune... that's what I get for typing "customer" all day at work.

I believe the axle back was the weakest link in the equation. Thus my comment earlier...

The thread title was "22 hp off axle back" which is totaly misleading. Seems like good gains for the new mods however with 12 baseline then an additional 10 from tuning.

kenaimone, I'm not doubting your power gain from the mods, but to label the original thread 22 HP from the catback exhaust was all misleading. Picking up 12 HP with just an exhaust swap over factory is very decent on the S197s:nice:

"All talk"? Am I to understand you believe dialing a telephone is something to be feared? Scared of being wrong? Look, I found the "I challenge you to call and ask either of them" post amusing.

Seriously, what would a phone call accomplish? Are members waiting for a report from me stating, "the dude that answered the phone said 'yup' -- now all doubt has now been erased."?

if you read the original, i picked up 17 from the cat back and another 5 from the tune. but i guess that i could see how it is misleading. trust me i could not be happier with it. that is not true, i just put it into storage for a year.

have you called, didnt think so. until then :Zip2: if one of the best tuners in the country is not good enough for you than i dont know what is. you ask anyone in the carolina's about pro dyno and you will here the same thing. "rob and dan are the best at tuning fords peroid."

go to carolinarides.com and look at their and macon moore's rep. it speaks for it self.

hey i am just trying to get the word out that there is a system that makes more power for less money. if you dont want it i really dont care. but hey living with blinders on does have its advantages. you wont see me passing you at the
1/8mi mark.

ciao:stupid:

Just when you worked so hard to establish some credibility by qualifying your claims. . . The insults and smileys are great. Anyway, to be clear, I'm neither calling you a liar, nor am I doubting this shop you've referenced.

It's just funny how you dared members to call this place as if it matters. While I'm letting my fingers do the walking, I'll call the maker of that Tornado thing that goes in the inlet tube to verify that it in fact does add 50 horsepower.

Anyway, do I still need to call?
