X Plan

I can use the X plan through my company. We lease a lot of Ford vehicles and Ford allows any of our employees to use it. From what I've researched, it is basically Invoice - .4% + $75 (handling fee or something). No haggling. You have to get an X plan code number, then show it to the dealer (although, from what I understand, not all dealers will honor it). It can be used on most Ford vehicles, but not all...like the GT500. When you buy/order, they show you the invoice and somewhere on the paper work it will have your total price (without any of the extras some dealers will try to add on). So, you option out your vehicle, and you get that price on everything it's optioned with....not bad. But I've heard others saying they can beat X plan anytime. Wish I knew how!
 
A, Z, and X plan are different discount plans available to employees (and sometimes family members of employees) of certain companies that do business with Ford. Like I work for AT&T and since we're their major telecom company, all employees get X Plan, which gives us something like CVert is talking about. We've bought 4 cars with it. It's a nice discount and you don't have to haggle so much. The best time to use it is end of the year. Like right now if you can find an '07 on the lot, you can usually get it for $4k-$6k less than sticker between discount plans and incentives.

Ford does not offer plan pricing on GT500's or 08 Shelby GT's or the bigger F-series trucks, but everything else has a plan price. Then, it is up to each individual Ford franchised dealer to decide whether to honor these deals. Luckily, the dealership I work for gladly honors them, even though many of our neighboring dealers don't for whatever reason.

X-Plan pricing is available on new Ford vehicles to a growing number of people. X-Plan price is much less than MSRP (roughly the same amount as invoice =/- $100) and you still get the same rebates & interest rates available to the general public. Many employers are signed up with more joining daily! Check with your employer to see if you qualify under the Partner Recognition program that Ford offers to various employers. If so, your employer will give you a PIN # to validate your eligibility.

A/Z-Plan pricing is for current or retired Ford Motor Company employees and their eligible relatives. A/Z-plan price is way below MSRP (way below invoice, actually) and you still get the same rebates & interest rates available to the general public on your new Ford vehicle. Like X-Plan, a PIN # will be issued to you by Ford or your relative that works (worked) for Ford to validate your eligibility.

D-Plan pricing is for current Ford dealership employees and their eligible relatives. D-plan price is way below MSRP (it's $100 more than A/Z-plan) and you still get the same rebates & interest rates available to the general public on your new Ford vehicle. Don't know about GT500's but Ford qualified Shelby GT's for A/Z plan. Bought mine on Z plan.
 
I don't work directly for Verizon, but I am a contractor to them, and therefore have access to all their employee discounts. I bought my car using X-plan that my company has, but I was playing around on Verizon's intranet, and they advertise A/Z plan on Fords. Any possible validity to this? I didn't really want to look into it because I know I already lost out on the $1000 rebate that has come out since I bought it, and within a week of purchasing it, I got a $750 certificate on any 2008 Ford with no restrictions. I really don't want to know how much more I would have saved if I only waited a month or so.
 
A = Ford Employee (about $1000 below X-Plan)
D = Ford Dealership employee
X = Ford Friend/Family/Supplier Discount: (0.996 * Invoice) + $75. Note that the invoice is Fordvehicles.com's invoice which includes advertising fees and other stuff that Edmunds/MSN/etc... leave out. Don't argue with the dealer - just check Fordvehicles.com
Z = Ford Retiree (Same as Ford Employee)
 
I get A plan because my Father works for Ford in Dearborn, MI. Z plan is the retiree plan.

Its a direct employee benefit. I depends on the vehicle on what discount you get but its typically 6% to 8% below invoice price.

I have bought these cars using A plan in the last few years...

X plan is a public beneftit that employees from Ford or dealers can give to just about anyone to use.

Dont know too much about D plan.....
 
The D plan is for Ford dealership employees (I mentioned that above) and is in-between the X-plan and A-plan pricing (less than X-plan but more than A-plan). The Z-Plan is the same as the A-Plan but is for retirees.
