I might need to put mine for sale at the "Buy it now" of around $50,000. Its gotta be worth twice what this '85 is.......

The Saleen Book registry doesn't make note of a sunroof...aftermarket?

The VIN does match the Saleen Book.

BBS rims, hahaha.

That steering wheel has had the black vinyl peel off and the tan you see is the foam pad that is under the original vinyl. This car does have a hard to find GOLD horn button on the steering wheel, all NOS knobs I have seen or bought have the silver backround.

Missing the high dollar front air dam, air cleaner top, and correct shift knob.

This listing must have been posted after I logged off of eBay late yesterday afternoon as it wasn't there @ that time.

It certainly is quite filthy & you'd think someone serious about selling a car, particularly something really unique like an '85 Saleen, would at least give it a wash, let alone detailing it, prior to taking photos.

There are quite a few missing parts, such as the Cal Chrome air cleaner & correct front spoiler & headlight covers.

But what strikes me as really odd is the gray seats with the tan steering wheel, dashboard, center console, door panels, carpet, etc. Since '85 - '86 Saleens used the standard Mustang GT seats, I don't think that the factory would have mismatched the interior pieces like this so I have to assume that the interior is not original.

Depending upon how solid is the drivetrain & body structure, this would make the basis of a worthy restoration project but certainly not @ $25K starting bid.

Realistic price should sell for @ $5000...edit...forgot about that aftermarket sunroof, figure it at $3200.

Its missing $2000 in Saleen Parts and then all the standard Mustang resto stuff and paint. We are working this identical car right now.

Wow...

Yes, a one owner '85 does have some appeal.

The body looks to be in MUCH better shape than 85-127 I just bought a few months ago. But it really needs alot of work!

That sunroof looks like a total butcher job.

I am in LOVE with that gold horn-push, wish I still had that.
(Gary - are the screws on the steering wheel correct? My car has the allen heads.)

It will be interesting to keep an eye on this one!

Not to give this guy any credit and I can see that some grass has grown around the tires but you can see some reflection in the paint and the windsheild banner looks pretty good. Maybe it has not been outside as long as we think. ?

I love the front valance screen. Must be to keep "them" critters out.:D
