So i replaced the heads with a set of fully ported Avenger "R"'s (Pro Comps) with 2.05 intake/1.60 exhaust valves with 71cc chamberswhich gives me about 9.0:1.They were flowed to about 320/250 cfm, race valve job and all the hardware was replaced. It seems the old Edlebrocks I had were letting the gasket slide around the steam hole due to the design of the head and also giving me about 10.4:1 CR. I had one of the first prototype heads they made and the design was later changed for this reason. They were good for N/A or N20, but couldnt hang with the added pressure ff the turbo. I have some painting/polishing to do as well as some cleaning, so i might drop it in Sunday or next week, then back to 10secgoal for tuning(yes Dustin, im polishing all the clamps to make it go faster :) )

He's been having head gasket problems.

Lookin good Mario! If you are going to all this trouble to polish, etc. you should consider having the cold side piping powdercoated. A good powder coater should be able to match the body color which would look sweet!

Thanks.

The cold side is stainless, but i ran out of belts for my sander, so once they get here im gonna sand it again and repolish it. The down pipe im might have ceramic coated, depending on funds, if not it easy to take off and do later. Im just anxious to get it running again:banana:

I really don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I would be concerned about the ProComp heads in a blown situation. They only have a .400" deck thickness, whereas upscale heads such as a AFR205 have a .750" deck (from their specs.) .400 thickness is not very thick in the world of heads.

Oh, and I am not a ProComp basher, just a user and a concerned poster.
