i wouldn't bet against the V8 it will be in the sedan plus they want some of the "pony car" market.

It's not competition for the Mustang. It's a sporty Japanese 2 door car...period. It might give the Mustang a good match performance wise, but it all ends right there. They are cars for 2 different crowds. IMO it will never compete with the pony car. Will it be quicker/faster than the Mustang? I don't care at all. I love the Mustang and it's RWD V8
There will always be those who staddle the fence looking for the fastest thing out there, but I will remain(to my best ability)true to the Mustang as long as it continues on in RWD fashion.

Definitely won't have a V8. Hyundai doesn't produce a V8 right now, and they wouldn't spend the $$ developing one just for this specific car.
I just don't wanna have a Hyundai beat me or even give me a scare at a stoplight. Time to consider some power upgrades in the spring.

they are developing a 4.6l v8 they have it planed for a couple cars.
and for those people that say its still a Hyundai have you drivin a newer one they are Great Cars id take them over a alot of cars anyday. 07 tiburon is
inside and out. now older Hyundai's 
new ones

When you look at what the rice manufactures make, Ford needs to get their head out of their butts. That 4.6 should be making at least 350 solid hp from the factory and offer an HO version of 400 hp.
I wonder if they got their engine designers fresh out of college.

The mustang has a lot of years behind it and a cult following like harley. You don't have to race or even win to better the competetion, you just have to have a stang. Anything else is a mustang wanna be. I see people driving around a 66 with a straight 6 and they have so much pride thier chest will burst, same with the collage kid in his 06 V-6. You've allready won when you signed papers for a mustang. Win, loose or draw, you still have an american icon, they never will. No matter how fast you are, there's allways someone faster anyway, but there's only one mustang and you have it "baby". Even if I would loose a race, I would still say they have a piece of crap, snub my nose at them and drive off. I would be just as proud of a 77 mustang II with a 4 banger as I am my 07 GT (ALLMOST). Stangs don't have to be fast to be cool or an icon, they just have to be a mustang. Thats something you'll never be able to buy at a foreign dealership, unless they have a used mustang. It started the pony car revolution and will end it as well, all others are posers. It's not allways about power, any car will go as fast as your wallet will allow, it's about driving a clasic. Thats something some of you youngsters will learn once you get out of your, "I got to beat everybody stage". Of course winning is nice, winning in a stang is even better!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree ranger04! The Mustang is an amazing icon that makes ownership worth it simply because it's a Mustang. However I would still like it to be a faster Mustang

I was just as happy driving the Audi A4, as I am the Cobra, the S197 or the TransAm. Motorsports enthusiasm for me is brand blind; however, I can also respect those who are brand loyal. I am open minded when it comes to fulfilling my sickness.

Yes, I will addmitt, I'm very brand loyal, I bleed ford blue. My family has been in ford since the model T, my dad is a ford retiree. My first car was a 70 maverick with a create boss 302 and 4 speed toploader, plus 4:11's is a 9 inch. The car went 12.90 with headers and full exhaust and full interior, I've been hooked since. After several stangs, I noticed I didn't only think they were cool, so did most veryone else, especially the girls ha ha. The mustang got me several girlfriends and a wife or two, "damn stangs" ha ha.

Heck no, if I was goind to my a ricer it would be a mazda MX-5 miata and turbo it. That way I wouldn't be disloyal to ford, it's light, cool and the top goes down. Also mazdaspeed has alot of great parts. The mazda 6 gets over looked as a great performer for the money. Yep, if I was going to sling rice, it would be blue rice. The aussies have some nice fast ford down there, like the falcon and they have a cobra car and cobra p/u, a diesel ranger. A supercharged 5.4 or turbo's isn't the exception, it's the norm in the land down under.
