This is on the stock driving/fog lights on my '07 GT. I wanted them to be on all the time when driving so I finally got off the couch and did something. lol

After some discussion with another individual, I found the correct wires to use. Working in the middle harnesses coming from the power dist. box, I located the red/yellow stripe wire (ign. on power) and use it to power the standard after market relay coil. For the ground side of the relay coil, I went to the rear most bundle and located the black/pink stripe wire. This is actually the power for the park lights. It will provide a ground for the relay coil until the regular lights are turned on. At that time, there will be power to both sides of the relay coil with no ground. This will cause the coil to open, shutting the lights off.

As far as the driving lights, I located the pink/black stripe (I think that is the color that powers the driving lights) and attached it to the acc. side of the relay pins. Then I tapped power for the lights from an un-used pin in the dist box. It was located in the drivers side rear corner of the box. You need a fuse in this wire and you can also wire in a simple switch to turn off the lights during any maintenance.

With the car lights off, the driving lights are on when the key is in the run position only. Turn on the park lights or head lights and the driving lights function as normal with the hi/low switch.

Now we will see how many times I get flashed. I will just flash them back during the day. lol

You should try converting the useless Ford fog lights to regular headlights!
I did... and it was a PITA!

The aftermarket H-4 bulb headlights I used in place of the fogs also have daytime running lamps and a built in 55watt fog bulb.
A total of 4 lighting options per lamp.

It required a couple of relays, a lot of wire, some cutting of the hood latch support frame, and a lot of customizing of the fog lamp socket. :notnice:

Not sure what pictures you could make use of. The wiring is pretty straight forward and the car with the driving lights on is, well, the same as it is with them on on the park position with no park lights. Tell me what you need in pictures & I will get them.

I like the fog lamps. Why would you go through all that to put headlights in?
seems like a lot of work.

not sure either but i know people like pics with their instructions to make them feel more confident about doing it themselves. this is not a mod for me, so i dont have any direct questions on it. i was just thinking of future users that may want to try this out.

The Ford fog lamps are basically usless, even in fog. Unless your impressed with just the fact they are there and light up giving the car a unique look.

With my set up I've increased my forward illumination by 100% hi/lo, and now have daytime running lights (not avail on 05), and kept the fog light feature.

Drive fast at night.... more light is better.:flag:

The stock "fog light" bulb is a white light, which is not good in the fog. The bulb size is a 9145, which is the same as a 9005 exept the 9005 does not have the gray coating on the tip.

I went to my local import shop (yes that was a diffent experiance), and picked up a pair of yellow HID look alike 9005 bulbs. Being that I work nights and drive in through the mountains to get there, I can say that I have real Fog Lights now. Cost 35 bucks and 5 minutes of care.
