So we all get into the daily "grind" of work and no play..what do u do for fun?

I hear ya. Thats my life in a nutshell. Im 24 and dont really care to go out to bars anymore, but a lot of my friends still do. I usually go visit my family (I have a 9 year old sister), and just spend time with my fiance trying to find random things to do... We usually try to go out of town to visit old friends from high school every couple months, cause we both kept in contact with a few good friends.

I work for a non-profit as an IT Director, M-F 8:30 - 4:30. Don't work evenings or weekends ever.

Before getting into IT and non-profits, I had working hours all over the place including nights and weekends. My mission was to not work weekends or nights and spend that time with my wife, hobbies, and other things that aren't work-related.

Plenty of time for fun stuff: Hiking, dogs (got two), golfing, fishing, driving the stang, and sometimes just being outdoors.

Not saying life is easy and perfect, but it took a long time to get to my current situation of working normal hours, being debt-free, and planning for the future. One small goal at a time. I'm not old either, just in my early 30s.

I get to leave work everyday when i'm done. I start at 7 and usually get home between 11 and 12 everyday, paid til 4 :) So I still have my whole day to do what I want and I get paid for it. I usually go to the gym in the early afternoon before it gets too crowded with people who are stuck working all day. Weekends are good for bars/clubs, cruising and relaxing.

i just started a new job as an account executive with a company called merchant services. i basically go out to business and set up accounts with credit card processing. i havent gotten paid yet cause it is commission based but the commission can be really really high. the money potential is completely unlimited and is souly based on my performance. when not working i love to go to the beach, boating, anything out doors. i love to work on cars, play the guitar, and i love to travel. the bars/ clubs are a good time too. cruising is always fun.

I work mon. thru sat. 10 hours a day and switch every other week from day to night shift. So with work and the shop there is not time for nothing but 5 or 6 hours of sleep a day. My dad keeps tellin me that will make an old man outta me quick, I just tell em I 'll have all the time in the world to sleep when I'm dead. I work on stangs for fun and read when I get the chance, other than that its work work work!!!!!!!!!!! Until summer rolls around again then NMRA racin we go on the weekends kinda like mini vacations on race weekends, costly mini vacations

Meh, I go to school and get paid for it, not a bad deal. Academics are tough, and we gotta put up with a lot of BS, but I usually get my video game on during the week and then work on the cars and go out on the weekends that we have free. Can't really complain overall.

geez, for now, this is what i do for fun

my weekends are spent mostly driving my kids around or drving up to hagerstown to visit my in-laws who are in a nursing home and assisted living.

i figure i'll have time for plenty after the kids are off to college

when time allows, i like to play tennis and tinker with the stang

I am not working currently. I saved up some good money last year and took off for the year. I am going to school for 19 hours this semester, so that keeps me fairly busy. It is very much like a job and usually requires over 40 hours of my time.

With my free time...

- Attend all home Razorback games (got one this weekend actually).
- Drag strip on TNT nights on occassion.
- Hang out with friends at the movies and follow a buddy's band.
- Church activities.
- Lots of time with the girlfriend doing random things.
- Working on friend's vehicles (working on a 351M-400 stroker project currently, getting all the parts together for him).
- National Geographic, Discovery, and TLC Channels:)
- Keep up with UFC.
- Stangnet and other random forums.

But the most important thing I do with my free time is always trying to learn something new.

Work nine to five then.... Skateboarding, Snowboarding and Cars.

However, recently my car has comepletly ate into all my free time... She is quite the Jack Stand Warrior.

Hopefully i can get things to a good stopping point with the car soon so i can get back into boarding as the season has just about started here in WA :nice:

I click on links titled "So we all get into the daily "grind" of work and no play..what do u do for fun?"

I'm usually busy working on ideas/events for my car club. Freelancing to pay for my car mods.... or playing Wii. :D
